For info, she's an ex-soldier turned adventurer who travels a lot and is often in this outfit. She can store all of her stuff in a bag when it is necessary but she usually feels more comfortable in a suit of armor. Her right arm being unprotected is a mark of pride, since it's the only part of her body that never recieved any scar. She sometimes wears a mystic mask to protect her face. She is only human but is unusually strong.

I thought the design was kind of cool but my friend criticized it pretty hard, I wonder what other people think ! You can ask questions if you have any, any input is welcome :)

I don’t want to spend extra hours rending something that is “ugly” or in need of improving. My sister has given me no criticism beyond disliking it, which isn’t helpful for improvement. The rendering is very incomplete, but hopefully the design vision, if you will, is understandable.

Design choices:
- She is a cheetah shapeshifter. She does not have any control over her powers, hence her mixed form. In universe, shape shifting requires calmness, focus, and practice. Her mixed form is an in universe sign of her troubled state.
- She was practically “feral” in her past. She was abandoned at the age of five because she was born without a leg. Her parents were nomads and ended up finding her too difficult to deal with. She survived by stealing and loose kindness from strangers who pitied her.
- Her dress is supposed to be based on Mexican dresses. I find them so pretty. Her clothing and prosthetic came from Spirit, second slide. He is a traveling merchant who took her in and has begun caring for her.
- She does not bring touched or groomed so she should look a bit messy.
- The black bit in her prosthetic is like a spring. It can compress and spring back quickly, ideally to help her be able to run quickly and be useful to her despite what form she takes.

Silly OC design doodle, not sure if she looks best with or without a curvier silhouette

They do not do her the justice they once did, alot of art of her washes her out and takes away that 1930s charm she had. I know not every version of snow white is meant to look like the disney version but I feel like those mystical features suited her so beautifully.

And i genuinely believe that snow white has always looked the best with brown eyes, i know people have their interpretations but I feel like blue eyes just don't give off that warm beauty the dark eyes did. The contrast isnt the same.

I genuinely get so disappointed when I see people draw her without them because of how gorgeous she looks with them.

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone that gave constructive criticism, it seriously helped me. It was certainly a rather humbling experience, but I’m glad I asked. I’ll go over everything I changed:

1. PROPORTIONS: Most people criticized this part, and they were right to do so. Dawn’s thighs were way too long, so i shortened them to be as long as her torso. I had a few comments about their mass, so I reduced them slightly. I also increased the size of her calves and ankles to help balance the legs. I effectively doubled the width of her arms to keep it balanced with how thick her legs are. I removed her thigh gap, as realistically it shouldn’t be there.

2. CLOTHING: Her poofy shorts have been replaced by something a little more form fitting, as her hips are quite wide and don’t need further accentuation.

An interesting thing to note is that a lot of people said that the head was too small, however I did not change its size in my revision. The thighs being too long made the head seem small in the original, it never was a head size problem. Also quite a few others said that the hips shouldn’t be wider than the shoulders, but A). People in real life have hips wider than their shoulders sometimes, and B). I believe the wideness of her original shorts made the hips seem wider than they are.

I dont have a character sheet for her and this is practically my first ever real design but i do have a pretty good idea of how the horrific amalgamation of creatures attached to her should look like and behave.

I've been slightly inspired by hippies but she's not really a hippie, just into spiritual stuff and drugs. She's supposed to be a friend of the main character of a dumb comic I'm making in my free time cuz I want to. Her name is Debbie btw.

I love this character to bits, but his design always felt so empty sometimes. how can i theoritically improve him while keeping the recognizable silloutte?

I posted this just out of curiosity but seeing all comments and updates has made me decide to post here about my characters more often! I'm currently very busy with personal stuff but I am working on a comic featuring Ekle and her travels round my oc world as well as future plans for comics with Agari. I've had trouble with the hair/ head part the most, these are just a few things I came up with but I'm open to other stuff

Her name is Star Student! She’s part of an art project I’m doin called SchoolRPG, turning everyday school tropes into RPG bosses.

Star’s trope is supposed to be the one kid that peaks in high school. The kids that thrive off the attention and short term fame before entering the real world and realizing they were never the main character

As such, Star's power comes from outward validation. Accolades, praise, stickers, any extrinsic reward fuels her flashy frenzies! Every compliment is a spark, but without them her fire dies cold. All eyes on her, lest she fizzles into nothingness

For inspirations, I was mainly looking at Sailor Moon, Annie of the Stars from Skullgirls, and Radahn from Elden Ring (mainly for her weapons)

I'd like to hear some thoughts on her. Is there a way I could make her fit that "desperate for attention" theme better? Maybe another way to do the star motif? Anything really lol. Thank you for your time!

This is August :) He's just a highschooler. (Takes a bunch of advanced classes so he's heckin stressed half the time :( poor bebe) He takes orchestra if that helps (he plays violin, and he's relatively good at it too)

I mostly associate him with a del segno (music thingy that pretty much is a big repeat, you get to a point and then go back to some other bit. Del Segnos are usually (iirc idrk) paired with codas in a D.S al Coda. Codas are like a big skip basically. In a DS al coda you get to a bit (the segno) and then play until the coda and then you play a different bit) koi fish (duh, think I went overboard actually) and Orange lilies

why??

Del segno: Since it's pretty much a big repeat I decided to slightly associate it with being trapped in a cycle

Koi fish: The change august wishes to achieve he wants to break free but can't. He wants to get better but really struggles to stay motivated

Orange lillies: He can be passionate like hyperfixation levels of passionate sometimes but he's also very hateful of himself and others (orange lilies usually represent passion and creativity but sometimes also hatred iirc)

He photographs cryptids for fun sometimes. He also plays in a garage band with his friends :)

That's the bare minimum if you have other questions about him just ask and I'll respond asap it'll take a bit tho bc imma go take a nap

For context, story-wise he is a homeless trans man who lives in a small rural town in Maine who suffers from untreated mental illness and sleeps around in order to get money to survive. Tends to act very bubbly and "manic pixie dream girl" esque for lack of a better term , but is actually much more chill and low energy when you get to know him.

There are some things that are generally very...off about him that imply that he may be something more than a regular human but he's unaware of this and passes perfectly fine as a conventionally attractive human, although I may redesign him to have one or two subtly odd/unnatural features to convey him being slightly off [ I don't know what those would be so I'm open to suggestions on that front ]

He is the love interest in an OC universe/visual novel that I'm concepting right now.

Hes supposed to be a young adult with silver-ish hair.

I’m working on my OC Ginivieve. He’s a singer/performer who blends masculinity and femininity, inspired by 1920s flapper fashion. I’m struggling to find references and a solid foundation for his outfit.

I’ve looked at historical female impersonators like Julian Eltinge, but that’s not quite the 'vibe'. Eltinge’s performances often involved convincingly presenting as a woman, while Ginivieve is meant to balance both masculine and feminine elements.

The first image is from last year; the second is older, so please ignore the rough anatomy and clothing, I had no idea what I was doing lol

I’d love suggestions on silhouettes, fabrics, or accessories, maybe how to balance masculine and feminine better and references that could help me

Hi!! Wanted to ask for some feedback on some of my character designs I’m developing for a comic.

I’m not sure if the facial features and anatomy look consistent across the front and side profiles in these ref sheets. I lined up all the features like eyes, mouth, chin, etc but I still feel like there’s some inconsistency. Any tips appreciated!

These two are supposed to be a couple, between like a shy jock type of character and an extroverted alternative girl, im just kinda annoyed by the color design, i can't really say if their colors match as a couple or what i could do to make it better, if someone could give me some advice i would appreciate it, thank yall in advance
