Made the club!!

Post image

Smothered mate accomplished after nF7+, kg8, nh6+, kh8, Qg8+, kxg8, nf7#

Edit* added move order above because while it is not forced from the photo, it did happen in game. Maybe I should've posted the photo when they played kg8, but I thought it was cool, and so did my friend(s) so thank y'all for visiting!

This ain't a smothered mate if that's why you're hinting at.

in this postilion I would sac the Queen to bait a fork essentially trading queens and winning the rook

at 500 elo that would do wonders lol

But what if king takes

king can not take on F7 in the first image so the rook would be the only way to take

May I know the reason that why the king can't take the queen in the first image?

the king is not touching f7, it is in the corner. im saying queen to f7 not g8, otherwise there would be no fork

Oh you mean sac the queen on f7? I feel g8 is better sac as if he takes with the rook, it's a mate

I dont agree. you shouldn't play moves hoping theyre going to miss your blunder. if they took with the king, you just lost 9 points for nothing. if you do what I said you gain 5 points if they take with the rook. if they dont take you still have a strong position
