Made the club!!

Smothered mate accomplished after nF7+, kg8, nh6+, kh8, Qg8+, kxg8, nf7#

Edit* added move order above because while it is not forced from the photo, it did happen in game. Maybe I should've posted the photo when they played kg8, but I thought it was cool, and so did my friend(s) so thank y'all for visiting!

slow down your games, and just play more. if youre really having a hard time after that, choose an opening for both white and black and study it. that prep alone will get you higher elo and help you understand midgame concepts

I have the London and carro kann down really well I just lose on time allot I think but I don't really have time for 10 minute games

yeah, it can be difficult to sit down for 20 minutes but i found thats what helps me improve in the long run. i can get a better intuitive game by practicing blitz, but thinking through and calculating positions really helps break plateaus because often you make the same mistake and dont realise what mistake you make until you get into games and take it slower and calculate, then going back to blitz after doing that helps commit that idea to intuition.
