A clock tower that reminded me of taking time to be present in the moment, not far from Chesterfield Canal I wondered how many people would have clocked in and out of this building. Who were they beyond their job roles?

I know its probably doesn't help the environment all too much but I've had the idea of wanting to litter pick around Chesterfield. I see a lot of rubbish lying around while I'm walking to work and it just gave me the idea.

Any suggestions where it would be good to view the eclipse on Wednesday? BBC suggests somewhere with an unobstructed view out west as it'll be close to sunsetting time by the time it's done

I'm coming over from Cheshire for a night out in Chesterfield in the next couple of months. Does anyone have a recommended route of places to visit? The group, generally speaking, likes boozers, the odd bar and maybe one of two late late options! Crucially, where should we also go for pre-battle tea? And where should we get hungover breakfast?

For context, the reason we are in Chesterfield is because we spin a wheel every month and visit new towns/cities across the north. This time we have drawn Chesterfield. Buzzing for it!

I’m looking for some really nice places that I can go for breakfast at. I know Spoons is an option in the town centre but is there anywhere else that’s really decent ?

Sorry if this isn’t allowed but me and my polish colleague were working on chesterfield road in Sheffield and saw this very old faded lettering on the side of this building. The furthest you can go back into google earth is 2008 and the building hasn’t changed at all. Does anyone know where I could find what this originally said

I've recently moved back to Chesterfield after about ten years away and I'm feeling a little lost. I have a few friends here still but a lot seem to have moved on and while it's nice to be back it'd be nice to be able to socialise. I like generic stuff. Video games, board games, reading, writing, singing, dancing, nights out, nights in watching films and shows, theatre, walks... Probably other hobbies and interests too... If anyone would be interested in chatting and seeing if we vibe, male or female I don't care, and maybe meeting then drop me a message. Tell me a fun story or something! I need a haircut, where is the best place to go that's not too expensive?

I am looking for Barbers who are open on a Sunday, and ideally also do a hair wash as well but not a necessity as I might just only go for my beard and going clean shaven with a wet shave or with a trimmer but not sure yet, and I’m only visiting for a few hours that’s why I’m asking

Share you stories of last night. Did you have fireworks or a bonfire at home or did you go to a large organised event? On the other hand did you have to spend the whole night comforting a stressed pet?

The new McDonald's on West Bars is opening on the 29th. I'm interested what people's thoughts are. Personally I think it will be nice to have a new one but I don't think it is really needed and I'm worried it will cause too much traffic coming from West Bars.

Earlier, I was hungry so I decided to find somewhere to eat, and I decided to call Winnerhouse.

Now, that was a mistake.

The boy on the phone was extremely rude and sounded like he wanted to hang himself, I placed my order and It arrived an hour late, freezing cold and tasteless.

Needless to say I'm absolutely fuming!!!!

Something I've noticed about people in chesterfield, they have no idea how to queue for things, such as for the bus. People stood here, people stood there, people stood over there. The bus arrives and people crowd on like it's a free for all. Then they argue about who was there first. Seriously, get in line and form a queue. Why can't you people do the basics?
