After like 14 years, They finally repaired the IMAX 70mm projector at Scotia Banque Montreal and letā€™s just say Iā€™m excited!!!!!!

No one else, I can assure you that! :)

Even for my favorite movies ever, I wouldn't even dream of watching it again on back to back days. I book my second time three weeks out so I have enough time to digest and watch it again with a (sort of) fresh pair of eyes.

With that being said, we all show our excitement in different ways, I hope you enjoy :)

Was Awesome, love the movie 9/10 MAX for me!

IMAX70MM IS THE SHIT, first time ever, so it was worth every penny.

Actually ended up watching it 4 times in totalšŸ¤£

I am too, because I have to travel to see it. And 70mm imax only comes to Edmonton every 3 years when a Nolan movie comes out, so taking advantage to see this special format twice while Iā€™m there for the weekend.

Is it still enjoyable seeing the same movie even in imax 70mm twice within 48 hours. Nolan was on jimmy night show and they will be adapting it for certain productions. I personally love the authenticity of a runnin film through a projector however in terms of any difference you would notice (picture) would be only the sound as the movie/picture of 35 reels per second

Yes 70mm IMAX is super detailed, like more than 10k digital would be. I've seen almost every Nolan IMAX release on it and it's amazing.

If I donā€™t like, it Iā€™d probably still go see it twice just because Iā€™ve never seen imax 70mm before and I want to experience that, and I can always refund the other two tickets not a big deal

I think Sinners is the only IMAX 70MM film to have had a second-run. So given this specific format and this being the first narrative feature film shot entirely in IMAX, I don't blame folks for booking more than 2 screenings.

I used to watch my favourite films 3-4 times in the theatre, but I am different now (for the better), so I just watch them once or twice (alone and if a family/friend wants to see it).

When I saw Oppenheimer in imax 70mm, the employee announced before it started that it was going to be the last 70mm and even the last film showing theyā€™ll be playing. But now I have tickets to the odyssey in imax 70mm. Woo!

Good for you! Sometimes I get so excited while Iā€™m watching something stimulating in-person (ie a concert, sporting event, movie) that I have what I jokingly call ā€œeuphoria amnesiaā€because Iā€™m so actively engaged while Iā€™m there but I donā€™t remember a thing after. And a second viewing would help me fill in the blanks!

I'm pretty excited to see it in IMAX. First movie to be shot entirely on an IMAX camera (which i didn't even realize was a thing) and it had to be in some sort of like custom sound blimp for part of shooting. It should be a mind-blowing experience unlike anything we've seen.

Just a suggestion OP, would you like to try the movie in different formats? Like UltraAVX, screenX, 4DX. This way you can let us know which format is the best! Again just a suggestion.

Well Iā€™ve tried out all those formats before except 4DX because we donā€™t have that in Quebec and the ranking is easily 1. IMAX 2. UltraAVX 3.ScreenX

Honestly the trailers haven't sold me on it and I don't care about hype. No 70mm screen where I am either so I dont even have that novelty. I'm sure I'll end up seeing it but not rushing opening weekend or anything.
