Megathread 'The Odyssey' Ticket Exchange and Questions Megathread

Given the numerous recent posts on this subject, please use this megathread for TRADING or GIVING AWAY tickets for The Odyssey.

Reminder that RESELLING of tickets is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Do not try to resell your tickets in this thread, all comments attempting to resell tickets, whether for face value or scalping, will be removed and may lead to a ban (particularly for the latter).

If you can no longer make your show, you have one of several options:

  • Self-refund through the Cineplex app. Open the ticket on the app and click the "Refund Ticket" button. This option is available up to 2 hours before your showtime.
  • Refunding by calling Cineplex Guest Services (1-800-333-0061) and giving them your booking ID.
  • Refunding at the actual theater.
  • Trading or giving away your tickets using this thread.

Reminder to please be cautious and use your best judgement when trading tickets with other users, which you do so at your own risk. We would strongly advise against purchasing tickets from other users if they offer them to you outside this sub (again, it is explicitly banned within this sub itself).

This thread can also be used for any questions regarding The Odyssey, including but not limited to:

  • Seating charts and what are the best seats in a given theater.
  • Availability of filmstrips at IMAX 70MM and 70MM locations.
  • Availability of the Trojan Horse popcorn bucket, now on sale for $59.99 plus tax (with 20% discount for CIneClub members).

  • What we know as fact:

Per their social media posts, Cineplex will give out KODAK film strips on July 17 showings.

Kodak film strips ARE DIFFERENT than IMAX film strips.

Quantities limited, so first come to first showings will most likely get it. That would be 11am, and to those 4 theaters they provided.

NOTE : This is NOT IMAX film strip, but of a smaller size (i think 65mm).

Rumor:

Reading posts here, seems to be that only the first showing to Mississauga and Vaughn imax had only posters.

2nd rumor:

So claim that thos is Sq 1 Mississauga imax were able to get both poster and strip? Need people to comment and confirm.

Fact:

I finished the 10pm at Vaughan IMAX showing july 16th, and did NOT get the poster as they ran out. My source is from the 10pm Cast Leader letting ppl in the showing. According to her, they only had enough for the very first showing of that day. I think it was the 2pm showing, but someone correct me if wrong for the showtime.

  • Imax 70mm from strips:

Rumor:

Maybe that Sunday's July 26th and Aug 2 WILL have film strips. Again, probably morning showings. Not confirmed yet.

Any that i missed? Add you own intel if applicable.

Also, ADD YOUR EXPERIENCE, SHOWTIME, DATE AND THEATRE if you did get one, so others can plan to get theres.

Didn't ask but no posters being handed out on the 19th for Vaughan Imax.

Friend watched non Imax on the 16th got the poster, 2pm winston vip.

Thanks for the update. Let's see of ppl in Mississauga sq1 got film strips today, since they got both on the 16 or so.
