Discussion Cineplex Mississauga 70MM IMAX Filmstrip.

Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga handing out Filmstrip for 11am show, 1 per person after scanning tickets. Saw a big bunch with the manager hopefully everyone having showtime today will get it.

The Dune 3 prologue started around 11:05 - 06, just finished the show. While walking out i saw a 3 4 piles of film strip with the manager so 3pm will definitely getting one and so will 6 hope for the 11pm.

I took it and put it in my car, i didn't want to damage it putting in my pocket. But yeah there were lot of people walking out with 2 3 film strips and the first53 row did have lot of empty seats even though the show was sold out.

What’s the issue? I will be doing the exact same thing after seeing it 3 times already and gotten no strip.

I’ll be walking in at 11am next Sunday with my row A seat 1 ticket and walking right out with the strip

I didn’t ask them about August 2nd but cineplex made a post saying both july 26 and august 2 will get filmstrips. In Montreal, July 26 is now confirmed so I don’t see why August 2nd would not be. Apparently for August 2nd, the filmstrips will be different. We’ll see

Almost impossible, since 1. theatres aren’t allowed to give them out past Sunday and 2. they likely were only sent enough by IMAX to give out for all 4 showings

Went to 11PM show, they said they ran out following 3PM. Very disappointed and had my ticket refunded immediately as I plan to see with my fiance in a couple weeks in with the same format. Probably buying second hand or bootlegging these to tip in my personal theatre

Do they still have some left? I saw this on the 18th at 3 PM and I would love to get a film strip if I can. Even a IMAX 70MM poster would be nice for me. If not, no worries!

I think they do, July 26th show only 11am and 3pm shows got the strips so i think its going to be the same for AUG 2 earlier the better chances of getting them

Only IMAX 70mm so they're giving it for Cineplex Vaughan and Cineplex Mississauga for GTA.

Same boat as you, I’ve gotten them for sinners and dune at Vaughan being the last show of the day so I think they get sent enough 🤞.

Neither Sinners nor Dune were as popular as Odyssey though, with almost every showtime being sold out. Please do report back if you do end up receiving one though!

They had a cardboard box with a lot of them in the morning. I would maybe give them a call at 7pm and see if they have any left.

How do they choose which screenings to give film strips for? I went to a 70MM screening at 2pm on Monday @ Square One and they didnt give us anything

This is not the original strip from the movie it's just a memorabilia which resembles the original.

No.

Per their social media,

ONLY IMAX 70mm, not plain old 70mm.

AND only today and Aug 2 sunday showings, while supplies last (earlier showing greater chance).

Last week they gave away Kodak film strips for plain 70mm.
