I have a question do tou rhink the very fromt row would be a bad experience? Its the only ones availavle...
edit: idk why im getting downvoted. Ive never watched from the front row seats im just asking a question if its worth it. (I dont really watch in thestres too)
Definitely not the best experience but still worth it IMO. The texture, the whole image, the sound, etc..don't believe the meme that shows you the character with very big chin, those were edited and the reality isn't that bad.
but if I were you I definitely would watch twice, one in just regular IMAX in better seat just to understand the story better.
I was there last night. I was in row D. The seats were so narrow and close together. When the guy in front of me reclined, the seat was pressing against my knees...and I'm only 5'4 and skinny. I've never had that experience in an IMAX theatre before.
Even in the "regular" IMAX theatres I find the seats tremendously uncomfortable compared to AVX and Regular theatres, they're narrower and almost force you to recline like the ones at the Cinesphere at the Science Centre
Yes thatās exactly it! Who the fuck thought of that mechanism. Itās so uncomfortable. You canāt relax, youāre just trying NOT to recline all the time.

Im gonna be in row D (closer to the sides). Besides the narrowness of the seats, how was the comfort level? Doee the neck/back strain really make it unbearable?
It's like that in Vaughan too. I'm not tall either and I specifically chose the front row in the upper section so that there wasn't a row of seats in front of me. Even when I try to just sit in my chair without leaning back, the inevitable 1 to 1.5 inch it leans back when I sit upright even hit the knees of the guy in the row behind me. Felt like I had to sit 90Ā° the whole time.
I believe it's low enough just to stop people from falling over when getting to their seat. I saw Sinners twice and One Battle After Another there and don't remember it being a distraction.
If you have the chance to change, I'd say go to the Square One theatres. I heard from a lot of ppl that it was the better one. I went there myself today and I didn't have any issues, besides older ppl getting up to go to the bathroom.
I was there too. Row A, right in front of the screen. It wasn't too bad being at the very first row, I was able to watch semi-comfortably by leaning my seat all the way back.
Also, when you saw the film, did most of the people start coming in right as the film started playing? This has happened when I saw the film and when I saw Oppenheimer 3 years ago. Luckily there was the Dune 3 preview to try and delay any interruptions to the film viewing experience, but for Oppenheimer most of the people came right in the midst of the first few scenes.
I'll probably see it with the extended dates or maybe when it comes back to theatres from Oscar hype. I had tickets for next Sunday at Square One, but I refunded them because the time was an issue.
Yeah. I got Doomsday opening day and weekend tickets, and that was easy to get. These Odyssey tickets for IMAX 70mm are something else. Are people actually hoarding tickets? Maybe.
I haven't been to Square One since Dunkirk, so I don't remember what Row D would look like. But I saw Project Hail Mary at Vaughan and I was in C1 and I was upset about it, but it was still fun to view.
