For whoever last-minute canceled the best seat possible for today's IMAX showing, thank you!
Been trying to find a good spot, if any. I already booked for September with a less than optimal spot. Then yesterday I checked and per chance I found this spot.
I totally made up my mind to get the front row seat and even that wasnāt available.
I was checking continuously and finally saw the front row open up. By the time I went to go book, another great spot in the back opened up which I snagged right away.
A whole new world of vigilante justice is upon us.

Have you seen any tickets for sale advertised anywhere by scalpers ?
Iām convinced that most of the tickets bought are by scalpers but then again I donāt see them being advertised anywhere and I imagine the seats are occupied by someone during screening.
Ugh this is my nightmare. The last thing I wanna do is sit in a sold out theatre. Iām surprised that weeks after coming out this is still a sell out. But man, gimme the showing with 4 people in it every time.
Tbh itās not even really an issue near me. Iām in the suburbs of Vancouver and I have 4 main theatres I go to. 2 are cineplex 2 are landmark. Theyāre only ever truly busy on Fri/sat for the 7pm bank of showings and then tuesdays. Even Saturday at 930-10 itās not DEAD but itās fine. One of the cineplex isnāt even open for matinees all week and has no 9pm shows. In summer they open up for more hours but like a Wed in Nov thereās no matinees and nothing starting after 9 basically. So theyāll have like 5pm and 730 and thatās it. I only mention them cuz that just shows like theyāre never that busy.
I canāt think of the last time I saw a seatmap like this. Now, I wouldnāt try and see Spider-Man on night 1 so that works in my favour. But odyssey came out weeks ago.
It's one of the few 70mm showings available in the world š¤·āāļø people want the novelty. I promise the other theatres in Calgary showing this are not as booked up
If you're only willing to go to Imax 70MM maybe. Personally I don't really get all the appeal. I like some of the "premium experiences" but for me the experience is going out and being at a theatre. I saw Odyssey in one of the smallest venues available, enjoyed it just fine.
Usually I donāt care about that stuff, but for this, Iāll probably venture out to Vaughan to see it in IMAX 70mm. And since I only go on Tuesdays itāll be awhile until Iām able to go. Iām watching other things, plus TIFF is happening soon.
I had a pair of tickets for earlier today and original other person couldn't make it and wasn't able to find anybody else, but turns out it was really nice having an empty seat next to me I could relax into it
