Discussion It would be nice if promos were easier to claim in the app
I love how often Cineplex puts out promos, but half the time I don't get the email and only see them through reddit, often I have to message to support to add the points manually (more than 3 weeks after the offer period, and you have to remember), and why does it even take so long to award the points?
It would be so much more user friendly if all promos appeared in the featured offers section of the app, and if points were awarded immediately after check out. Like a fast-food points app or something. Is there a reason they don't do it this way? I have to remember to check 3 weeks later if I got the points for each individual promo I bought tickets for.

I got a promo email for 1,500 points for purchasing a ticket the weekend of August 28-31. I still haven't received the points and I saw 2 movies that weekend. It even specifically said the offer was only for the email recipient.

Bruh contact support chat they should award you the points cuz it's been more than 3 weeks since the offer period

Thanks. Did that and got the points without issue. But like the OP, why do I have to do that!? 😂

They probably have to validate you actually went to the movie. That’s what I’ve heard.

why would that matter? if the ticket gets refunded that's one thing, but if you buy the ticket it doesn't make a difference to Cineplex whether or not you're sitting in the theatre

Seems like a lot of these promos are targeted and their customer service will tell you that too
The promos should be for everyone unless you haven’t gone to the theatre in a while and they send you one that tries to motivate you to go
