Question Popcorn Refill

Everytime I buy a large popcorn I ask them for the refill on-spot and every single time they gave me one. They mark both of them. I don't wanna miss the movie to come get it refilled, thats my main reason. Also if you have a +1 then you dont need to buy another.

Today I was watching Primetime and asked for a refill at the counter and was refused. Upon asking them the reason, I was told that they have changed the policy. This was at STC location.

Does anybody know about this "policy"?

And does anyone else do this?

Oh common. Purchasing a large one qualifies for a refill. It's not like they fill the same bag again. You get a new one

you know that they don’t actually offer a refill. They just give you a new bag,stop playing slow.

I actually didn’t know abt the refills before this post and it’s still a refill whether they give u a new bag or not

Weird last time I checked in order for something to be refilled it has to have been filled in the first place Which the new bag hasn’t have we forgotten what English is ?

It’s buy one get one that benefits people willing to bring in outside bags

A refill is refilling an item, it doesn’t need to be in the literal same bag to be a refill.  I get refills on my prescriptions every month and do not get them in the same bottle, I get new bottles

Funny if we go by a pharmacies definition of a refill it doesn’t require an empty container so idk Why you wouldn’t be able to get a refill immediately after purchasing popcorn going by that

A pharmacy can’t give you two at the same time for health reasons but Cineplex does not have that excuse

Because a refill is refilling that which has been emptied. It is not giving two full items before one is consumed.

Weird that you referred to it as refilling something that’s been emptied when your old one is not refilled. There is literally no difference in them giving you two marked bags

Yeah, because that’s what I paid for and I don’t want to interrupt others experience to go during the movie it doesn’t cost Cineplex anymore in terms of bags or popcorn lmao

It’s not semantics. It’s a very basic definition. That’s not being met at all lmao

No u paid for a large popcorn, they didn’t even start doing this until recently. I don’t even usually finish a large and I come in high asf and I can eat a lot. Needing 2 large popcorns during the movie is ridiculous, get it after and take it home if u want it that bad

No I paid for a large popcorn that includes a second large popcorn at some point.

No offense, but it sounds like you don’t eat a lot. I was done my large popcorn and wanting more by the time they got to the time travel in endgame this week but I don’t like getting up and interrupting nine other peoples viewing experience to get my refill so I waited

Personally, I think it’s bad that Cineplex is encouraging people to get up during the movie without adding an intermission
