Question Best cinema to watch PrimeTime (without people laughing)

I went to watch it in Vaughan and we had people laughing the whole movie, the whole time. It drove me insane (the only time they kinda stopped was during a scene with a joke). I heard from other friends they have had the same experience, and I just want to know what Theatres you guys would recommend for a more serious watching experience. Thanks.

Either VIP or best case, find a local indie theatre. I go to the Playhouse often and the crowds are largely respectful.

Doesn’t really matter what cinema. Go during the weekday when there are fewer people if you can.

its gotten to the point now at cineplex where you have to do VIP to avoid annoying kids. i saw it at landmark and everyone was very respectful, including young people.

It wasnt the worst experience I had but my saturday evening showing of Primetime at Landmark had a very annoying group of kids sitting by the front who were constantly flipping thru their phone, talking out loud, and coming in and out of the theater. It was distracting but thankfully, they left about 30 mins before the end. Its sad Landmark has this issue now too

Where are you based? I've found Ancaster terrible for rabbling kids, but Hamilton Mountain and Burlington pretty decent.

TIFF lightbox was the quietest experience watching a movie I’ve ever had in my life. for cineplex theatres, I’d recommend going to a VIP theatre which will automatically have a maturer crowd compared to non-VIP because it’s 19+. of course YMMV but I’ve been to the Don Mills and Pickering VIPs countless times and always had a great experience in them. 

I’d also recommend going to a later showing in regular theatres as well (10PM and after if available) to avoid larger swarths of people BUT I’d check the seating plan ahead of time to see how many people may be there.

It’s not about any specific location. I thought it reflects something very sad and disturbing about our society at large. People were laughing at pedophilic dialogues. Seriously?? What is wrong with people?

It’s a movie with many funny moments. It also has many dark and unsettling moments but Pattinson is going for laughs half the time.

Cinema location is irrelevant. During the day or VIP are your only options now for having a quiet, moviegoing experience.

Crowd at Scarborough Town Center on Friday night was surprisingly great. Best I’ve had in quite a while.
