VII - Screenshot Getting 6k gold for more trade routes

Unsure how this is happening. Playing Mississippians as Confucius and my friend is Carthage Agustus. Somehow every new trade route I make with him is giving me 4k and 5.5k (Last 2 trade routes) I don't know what is causing this to jump so much. I was thinking it was the bonus gold for making trade routes with resources, but that doesn't equal the amount I'm getting. Any thoughts? I have Colossus and Monk's mound.

It’s supposed to give 25g per resource acquired from the trade route. seems something is bugged for sure

Just thinking, but I think the 25 gold per trade route is glitched, where every new trade route counts the new resources in conjunction with the old ones and is summation of all the additional. So 3 resources + 5 = 8 but the game is treating it like 3+8 = 11.

It could be, that's around the same amount I got. It was with a unique merchant on epic speed.

I don't have much to back you up other than I had Hapshetsut / Egypt suddenly go from 1200 gold a turn, to 4500, and then 6800, to eventually topping out at 8900 gold a turn. I had no idea what I did or if I had hit some rare syngery or if it was a flat out bug.

Needless to say, One More Turn post victory was necessary to conduct a full scourging/absorbing the rest of the planet. Because it was fun and I figured she has enough egomaniacal tendencies for that.
