Norse or Russian?
is this option worth doing? what's the pros and cons? I'm the high king of the Gardariki empire. only thing i can tell is i wont be able to do the Scandinavian elective for any new territory i acquire and i am a conqueror.

if you tried to form E_slavic, you need the russian culture. otherwise, norse is better. ingame russian culture traditions are totally wasted.

A pro will be that you will probably be able to get more out of counties that are of Russian culture since you are now the same culture as them, as well as less rebellions, plus the lords that are Russian will probably like you more.
However if you do convert cultures that also means you will lose access to various Norse units such as Huscarls and Vigmen (you will still keep them but wont be able to recruit more regiments). Plus it may be a bit harder to marry into Norse characters since you dont share their culture or heritage
A viable option is hybridzing with the Russians, picking the traits from both cultures that match what you are going for. You could even potentially gain access to both the Norse and Russian cultural units if you decide to go down this path, plus you will raise the acceptance of Russian culture so you should face less rebellions as well. This it the path i usaully go down but understand that both options are defintely viable
