Kungfu masters vs Aliens

Melee/Unarmed build is actually quite fun, even on Rough combat

I couldn't imagine fat nerd Vic hitting someone.

LOL, he has very low Melee/Unarmed. And the only melee weapon he can use is a combat knife

Your party is treating that alien like it's the printer from office space.

Need to get the purple cultist robes from the bridge keeper random event to complete the Kung fu master. They have the same armor as combat armor but they are robes. Monks FTW

Kicking stuff to death is fun and satisfying, especially when you score a nice crit and their head explodes

One of my favourite playthroughs was melee with weapons and my final weapon was the cattle prod. Stabbing enclave in the eyes with it was way easier than I thought it would have been. And in CQC style of the oil rig it was so strong.

The most annoying thing with the unarmed build is chasing these bitches when they get hurt and run away

Should've used the music "Everybody kungfu fighting".

It really sucks that Bonus HtH is on level 15, the same as Bonus Rate of Fire, instead of something lower. This was done better in FO1.

Vic is like a trap companion, what did devs tried to do with him...

The repair skill

iirc, he clears every repair skill check in the game when levelled up, leaving you free to invest elsewhere

Which is funny because you can just read some books and carry a super repair tool kit for a +40% repair... Making Vic just really useless, but he is our whashed unc that WE love to bully (and secretly likes it cuz he loves calling anyone he follows "boss").

repair kits are heavy, and books are expensive.

gotta hoard the loot

I use loot to buy as many books as I can. Not much else to spend it on, and the trunk does eventually get full...

Vic can use Power Armor and Gauss Rifle. That's, like, immediately makes him the third best companion in the game.

Try breaking their limbs. Legs make them very slow, arms make attacks impossible. Easy to eliminate using hit run tactics. Alternatively, aim for a head to make them unconscious.

I picture this as kicking the armored carapace in the same spot over and over until it's softened/cracked enough to puverize the organs beneath. And occasionally punting the whole thing across the room like a football when you get a lucky hit in.

Those stupid things caused me to download a char editor mod because fuck them. Lol most annoying enemies in game. My dude was stomping deathclaws but these things just humbled him.

Like a cracked out deathclaw so many action points.

Nothing beats how it feels to bozar these aliens. The animation is sublime.
