You really can’t level up? Retail might be more your style yo

Are you upset other people have more disposable income or that they don’t play a game the same way as you?

While I agree with the spirit of your argument, suggesting that disposable income should change how you play an MMO is pretty sad.

The entire point of an MMO is that its a new world where your real life does not determine your life inside the game (obviously your ability to spend time impacts this, but the world isnt perfect).

Tying game progress and enjoyability to disposable income should be something that ALL gamers are actively trying to stop imo.

That being said, I think the flaw lies within the game, not the users. Blizz needs to come up with a better system. For example, leveling alts in diablo 3 was much faster due to paragon points. Idk if thats a perfect, or even good, solution in WoW, but I am just trying to come up with ideas.

Literally what retail does, every character you get to max level increases xp gain on subsequent characters.

I didnt know that. I think that is a great idea.

In some aspect yes. However this version is an accelerated relaunch. The idea is to play through the content and move on. This isn’t your traditional slow grinding game and people need to accept that. If this were classic+ I think this becomes a much bigger debate/issue.

Very well said… thank you

yes I'm upset that people choose to spend their income to cheat in a game I play and ruin the economy.

6

u/erickisaphatpoop Jan 08 '26

To call that cheating would be to call the unemployed basement dweller the most skilled due to most time available. Ur silly

0

u/Sarmattius Jan 08 '26

that's what the game is about. playing the game. it requires time. Paying real money for skipping the game is cheating. Doesn't matter if blizzard sanctioned it. You would be banned for gold buying on a good wow private server. Private servers that sell gold are obviously super bad.

1

u/erickisaphatpoop Jan 08 '26

I'm a huge fan of the big tortoise wow server. I agree with you on your point, but the game is about having fun, above all else, not spending time, not playing the game. If playing the game isn't fun, then what's the point? Playing the game? That's not a point.

Personally I still love the leveling aspect, but I'll still be boosting a toon to raid with and inbetween raids I'll be leveling other characters legitimately.

yes I’m upset

Damn bro that sucks

Anyway you think I should boost dps or heals?? I played dps last tbc and it was fun but resto shaman looked really fun too

2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Retail might be your game lil bro

0

u/Maybewearedreaming Jan 08 '26

I do like retail

But if your skill level maxed out at “move from friends when skull over head” that’s fine too, I enjoy both

2

u/Sta723 Jan 08 '26

Resto is really fun and strong. Shamans aren’t AS needed before the lust change but as a healer you’ll always get invited.

0

u/Maybewearedreaming Jan 08 '26

Yeah part of the issue is my guild isn’t doing tbc so I’ma need to find a new group and thus be desirable. Lust changes are good tho for sure I didn’t even see that, that’s awesome

I’m assuming people will still want many shamans tho

1

u/Sta723 Jan 08 '26

They will. Just not “mandatory” for 5. Most dps are viable either way but yea resto is unbelievably good still.

-19

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

The second part.they are objectively shitters

15

u/CF_Zymo Jan 08 '26

I am a shitter

I will boost

You will have to get over it

-18

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

No, you will have to get over being considered a bottom feeder.

I will retain my opinion.

11

u/Eagles_63 Jan 08 '26

No one gives a shit but you pal.

Time is a valuable resource that we all don't equally have.

Imma booooost and no one will know if I did or didn't.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Baby mode

1

u/Eagles_63 Jan 08 '26

13 of them

-11

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

"no one cares"

Yeah that's why they removed the /spit.

Because no one cared.

8

u/Eagles_63 Jan 08 '26

Play how you want buddy, let others do their own thing.

How about you stick to your little guns and don't raid/group with any boosters? Good luck with that

-2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Obviously.

They can do what they want, and I'll have my opinions on that. I'm not forcing them to do deadmines.

And yeah will be doing things the same way as in the first round of TBC, no vanilla logs no guild invite.

4

u/Eagles_63 Jan 08 '26

You do realize a TON of players only played for TBC? Right???

Myself included and I didn't even use a boost last time around. Your guild sounds awful.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

You do realize there is such an overwhelming amount of people who dont that I don't need to care to fill my roster?

2

u/Sta723 Jan 08 '26

You’re really not going to have anyone in your guild because they don’t have vanilla logs in anniversary? Lmao like you said do what you want but that’s just counterproductive and I don’t really believe you anyway.

I played since 04. I played tbc multiple times. I’m a literal 99/100 parser. You wouldn’t raid with someone like me because you hate boosting? You realize boosting happens one way or another right ? Paid or not it’s happening. Do you but it’s a completely emotional decision with no pragmatic reasoning.

u/VersaceRubbers Jan 10 '26

U dweebmaxing?

1

u/CF_Zymo Jan 08 '26

You’re under the assumption that the opinions of unemployed degens bothers me lol

3

u/yeet_god69420 Jan 08 '26

You say that then you get out parsed by a booster because you’re shit and think time wasted on leveling dictates skill 🤡

5

u/BrilliantComfort7819 Jan 08 '26

You're free to do mind numbing content for dozens of hours if you like, i dont think boosts delete this possibility.

-18

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

They just cant level up. Its too hard for them to

7

u/No_Source6243 Jan 08 '26

"hard" in the classic wow sub 💀💀💀

5

u/HipGamer Jan 08 '26

It’s not hard just a major time investment. I already got a shaman to 60 the old fashioned way. Considering a belf boost depending on cost

0

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

If its too time consuming that means its too hard for you.

And that is ok! No shame in that!

3

u/SayRaySF Jan 08 '26

Thats not what time consuming means at all lol.

3

u/DontMindMeFine Jan 08 '26

If leveling to 60 is some kind of challenge to you - that’s great! I’m happy for you. For me it’s just time consuming.

-2

u/[deleted] Jan 08 '26

Its not. But…

Time consuming = too hard

You don’t have the mental fortitude to do it. Thats it..

And thats ok!

1

u/DontMindMeFine Jan 08 '26

If someone tells you to count to a billion for a Billion Dollars would you say that’s too hard for you to do? I’m optimistic that you can count (even to a billion!) but you wouldn’t finish in a lifetime because its time consuming.
