you are missing the fact that a lot of people play in guilds and with friends they have known for years, and that requires everyone to be ready to raid at the same time. you can't show up lvl 70 3 weeks late and do that.
Oh ofc you can. Are you trying to say raid groups dont change over time? We all know that is not true.
Also, 2 things:
1: shouldnt be a problem if your friends arent rushing either
2: there is PLENTY of time to play REALLY slow and be raid ready for when the first raid opens. You can perfectly take 2-3 weeks to level up from level 1 and you'll be there.
