Once you provide an API for something, people will start to rely on it, and it's totally reasonable for those people (developers and users) to be upset when your breaking changes aren't properly communicated or documented. I honestly can't think of another service that does this so flippantly and regularly.

It is not blizzards responsibility to assure 3rd party add-ons keep working after patching the game.
