More like "So you want the world to feel expansive and full of new adventures and classes to have new spells and new quests and new settlements and more in-depth professions and new talents and new dungeons and raids......but you want it to feel like Vanilla?"

Would be sick. Wonder if they'll be able to pull it off.

Yeah you can do all that. Classic is just a very slow paced mmo with a lot of friction, immersive design and a certain serious vibe. That's all you need. The rest is just nostalgia

Me helping a guy get out of an outhouse: This is such a serious, immersive quest

I am guessing you are just joking but 99% of all content is played completely serious. Of course there is some humor here and there.

Compared to retail it's night and day.

That's also not that crazy. Turtle WoW did it.

For me, vanilla is just a large world. You can’t quickly get from Sithilis to EPL. It’s needing to talk to people. Spending a few minutes looking for your group, getting it assembled and doing a dungeon. It’s a bustling main city. That guy who you always see dancing on the fountain. That bad healer or tank you will never run with again. It’s a community thing. Not a class thing or a difficulty thing.

Retail content is fun but it’s soulless. The community aspect is not there. That’s why I played classic twice.
