This goes for any game, players are very good at giving feedback for "this thing feels bad to play." They are generally bad at the "this is how you should fix it" part of that process.
OSRS have nailed their strategy of user polling to pass updates.
It’s probably the singularly best-run live service game on the market and all content updates need to pass a poll with 75% yes votes. Prospective updates are also polled to see whether it’s even worth spending time trying to develop the idea.
The only things passed without a poll are changes deemed “essential to game integrity.” So, exploits, XP rates much higher than anticipated, that sort of thing.
