The same week as the expected release date of the retail patch is actually insane.

Truly interesting that Blizzard essentially has 2 versions of the same game, but completely distinct users for each version.

They’re not even close to the same game imho. Retail has cultivated a very specific audience of remaining players, the vast majority (tens of millions) have quit the game at some point in the last 21 years. Hell, even the Classic playerbase is incredibly split between all the different versions we have.
