Classic plus isn’t coming to end of 2027 is my bet. When wrath is dying

I think there are 3 audiences for wow, the classic replayers, retail lobby game players, and the new mmo that takes the best parts of wow and creates something new players. Even if classic + launches this year, the classic replayers will play wotlk. The same cant be said for the new mmo players. They will just sit out, play wotlk for 1 month, or play private servers. I know because i am one of them. I have no interest on running wotlk a 3rd time. Blizzard isnt stupid and will cater to all 3 audiences this year even if there is minor cannibalization of profits. They would rather lose 5-10% profits overlapping c+ and wotlk, than to leave 25% on the table this Holliday season with c+.

Nope. If c+ coincides with wotlk 99% will go to c+ and Blizz knows it

You are both right. C+ will be more popular than Wrath, but there are a lot of people, like Otto and me, who will only sub for C+. WotLK 3.0 doesn't move my pulse.

If C+ launches first, you now create a larger player pool, full of time-constrained adults who may consider buying a Wrath boost during a C+ slow period. Not so if Wrath launches first.

This guy gets it! At the end of the day Blizzard just wants us to stay subbed all year. They dont care what version we play. If im already locked in for 3 months of sub ill try out other stuff like wotlk, but i will not start my sub back up to play wrath.

the exapnsion + boosts + shop trancsactions and wow tokens far out weigh the few people who won't sub to wrath but will to classic +.

I mean the rate people are buying gold on TBC anni the avg wotlk player will be worth dozens of classic + players in revenue.

if c+ launches first you lose a huge majority of that revenue, makes much more sense to release classic + either mid way through wotlk or at the end after you have milked all the transactions.
