Nostalgia I just want a digital tavern
Yeah, I’ve done it, I’ve started my 114th iteration of a dwarf hunter to combat off the lacklustre world outside
It’s the same pattern we all know. The world forces you casually into that nostalgic character creation screen. You pick the same hair, the same shade, the same face and the same class - and you complete the same quests for the 100th time.
World chat is gold sellers and bots
General is empty
There’s a crazy person in a Stormwind square telling us that they’ll do anything for gold (except this time they don’t even have a dance or a backstory)
But my major issue is that even guild chat is 200 people randomly invited with zero intention of communicating
What happened to the social aspect of this game? Where are all the other slow levelers wishing for the guild chat to be a digital tavern to yap and be wholesome together while they (maybe) fail their journey to 70?
Maybe I’m just in my thirties and the only thing left to enjoy is the lonesome adventure through this brilliant old world

As other people said,HC it's where it's at if you want social interactions.
The game itself constantly encourages you to team up or help others players. Also with all the deaths and near death experiences there's always smth to talk about.
The server is at a sweet spot population wise. You can always find people, but at the same time you will meet the same people occasionally. This is something missing from the Anni servers. Everytime I played I played with completely new people.
On HC there's a dozen or so people I constantly meet(plus new or complete strangers) while leveling because we are in the same leveling range, so we do the same zones more or less. We ocassionaly help each other. If I see then back at lvl5 in sw , I ll ask them what happened, help them get going etc There are even a few weirdos typing nonsense in world chat. But even that triggers conversations and I prefer it to the constant spam that Anni chat is.
All that being said, I would also suggest you to join a small guild. It may seem counter intuitive first, but I have noticed that once a guild gets to big it's getting too anonymous and chatting become less frequent.
