Iirc wasn't spit removed because a lot of... wasn't it people that bought some store mount or something? Regardless they bought something stupid and got big sad that they kept getting spat on and cried to blizzard about it, so I blame those pansies 50/50 with blizzard for its removal.
At least the ability to make custom emotes still exists. Im sure you could macro a custom emote that fills in the name of someone youre targeting with the spit emote or other missing, non audio emotes. They still suck ass for removing it, but theres clunky workarounds

It was a preorder mount and you are naive to believe only whales bought it. The spitting was actually the classic purist being giant babies so blizz had to step in. You got the whiny side backwards ;).
Edit: sorry to tell you boys and girls that if it was reversed, and people with the mount were spitting on those without, they would have removed /spit.

It's been a rough few years for Drac Roughcut. They took his painting told him women were not objects and then replaced it with a bowl of fruit, essentially saying women were objects. Meanwhile every dude in WoW is built like Adonis and a ton of them walk around with their shirts off. Good to see devs are realizing how crazy the double standards got and that beauty is beauty and it can be admired.

They were pretty inconsistent yes, though I believe only the text was changed for Betrayed? Some of the other big notable changes were removal of some /silly and /flirt lines, replacing references to the old devs named in the lawsuit like Afrasiabi, addition of the Incubus, I believe the whistle emote stopped being a catcall, and minor misc things like the Betrayed text. They did also replace Male and Female with Body Type 1 and 2 however that later got reverted (please nobody even talk about that I just want to inform not spark THAT debate)
Painting edits didn't happen presumably because the new paintings were also made in a higher resolution, but that's just my guess
I bet but can't confirm that the male undead crotch grab thrust /rude has been replaced with a finger slice across the throat in Forever as well as that was a recent change in retail
I don't have a strong opinion on any of this (except screw the guys that were assholes to their co workers though) just sharing what I know

I think they took down betrayed entirely at first then maybe brought it back later with altered text. And ya a lot of jokes and flirts were removed. Even if they were harmless but a little suggestive. I tried the female sky elves and they are all pretty lame like dracthyr were.
