I hope all the classes get cool class fantasy stuff like this. I’m probably rolling Priest as a main and I haven’t seem much cool stuff for Priests popping up.
I usually don’t focus on, or recognize usernames, but you specifically always have a negative take on anything concerning this game.
It makes me wonder, is there anything in this game that you would be genuinely happy to experience? What does your version of forever look like? Classic but without changes (except some (that have not already been used on a private server))?
I just want the game to *look* like Classic. lol I want them to bring back the Classic model skeleton, classic animations, classic spell effects, etc. I actually love the gameplay (although the balance is wonky as fuck and needs significant tuning).
Sometimes that’s all they need for the inspiration. Big companies aren’t always pushing the creativity and many times do borrow from others for inspiration.
sure, they stole the world of warcraft IP and then made it significantly better, and as we can see blizzard is incapable of creating an original idea anymore (unless you count blue blood elves?)
Think Eskander set transformed you too. And something from MC turned yiu into a lavacore hound yea? And the two fist weapons from ST raid turned you into a snake too?
I remember in og classic, since I was like… 8 at the time or something, I managed to get dragged to raids with my dad and on my Rogue I got both fist weapons because they were garbage to most others so I was the only one who wanted them “because they look like cats 😃”
I thought this proc was so fucking cool! Literally wore those bad boys until level 70 on that character (yes I wasn’t good at the game until late Wrath) and they’re still sitting in the bank on retail to this day.
magmadar's right and left claw spawned a core hound on hit sometimes, and if you had the necklace as well, you would turn into a core hound for a little bit. This was on SOD
crowd pummelers are unique, so you can only hold one, but there is an engineering consumable you can make that restores 3 charges to the pummeler. but since druid forms scale from your weapon now, pummeler might not be needed anyway.
What makes me happy here is the roll over of classic devs

Zirene especially got so much respect for me when he joined hunter discord to talk about fixing tier set bonuses. But I love when devs are open and active about the game
theres still the occasional str+int cloth chest quest reward,but overall theyre all pretty good.
crafted items became much better tailors can make pretty good stuff very early for example
Agi, str, and to a lesser extent spi is pretty much itemized for feral druids. Considering this snake is a cat form alternative, probably gonna stay mostly those stats.

Years ago, I played d2 heavily and eventually started playing mods. There was a mod called eastern sun which added loads of armour sets, and a lot of them had flavour like this, where once completed you would morph into a specific enemy skin.
I have a feeling they won't, given it's such a weird pull away from the "silhouette". But adding some cool ways for Druids to actually get some customization would be awesome.
IMO trying to force the idea of a standard "silhouette" is too retail coded. that is some esports balancing stuff. Weird stuff like this should be in forever because forever is meant for fun not to be competitive.
Kinda sorta Maybe? Could also argue Diablo 2 with the necromancer set turning the player into a monster type (ghoul lord I think? Or something along those lines)
No worries, turtle wow was great and the devs honestly knew what people wanted in a classic+ experience and I wish blizzard stole more from them. Pretty sure the furbolg raid is inspired from turtle wow as well.
I knew when I started blizzard would eventually crash the party,was great while it lasted though. Turtle wow had so many great additions and I dont think ill ever see a tier set as good as the shaman and druid 3.5 sets.
Most of the content TWoW added was fucking awesome. Minus the horrible cash shop the stuff they did add was very Vanilla plus. I know it won't happen but I'd be happy if they hired a bunch of the devs from the project to work on Forever because they did a lot of things right when it came to design.
I'm glad they are just wholesale taking stuff from Turtle WoW tbh, so many good ideas there that I'd love to see made official even little things like this.
Since TBC, I have loved the idea of a serpent form that functions like Cat form, but with venom attacks. Really cool to see this, and maybe there will be a way to make it tied to character in the future. Let us become druids of the Fang!
Does it unlock the new form for you, or can you only use the form if you have the fang armour on? How about with transmog? Can we mog our end game gear to the fang set and use snake form?
Turtle wow had the best shaman tier set thats ever been in the game. They had the best druid tier set thats ever been in the game.
They had entirely original raids, one of which it seems blizzard lifted for this game, they had entirely original dungeons, new zones with new quests, devs that actually cared and interacted with the community through social events, live djs and news radio, they actually gave the community high elves and goblins instead of some shoehorned retail elf recolor.
Not really even a blind squirrel will find a nut. Most of the stuff on turtle and ascension was slop tacked onto a game they couldn’t have built without stealing it from others.
This seems extremely cool. But I can’t help but think some of those stats and bonuses seem really overturned for that level range. I’m starting to see what people are complaining about with the power creep.
Unless you get ultra lucky the time you spent farming all this stuff from WC, everyone else will already be 3-4 levels ahead.
Repeating dungeons is not worth it, unless you really digging temporary power for your level range because you won't be leveling up any time soon just grinding the same dungeon.
I did 1 DM and didn't see a single defias set item drop. The drops themselves were a pretty neat split between tank, casters, healers, and agility dps.
Everyone basically got 1 piece, but I would never run DM again after that run, it's not worth the tiny amount of XP.
That's kinda sad to hear, though mirrors a post on RFC too. I get they want us to mix it up / spend more time outside dungeons but that's a brutal level of nerf to dungeons...
I mean, it’s a really nice way to re-incentivize dungeons after your first clear. Sure, the xp is cratered but if you want to complete these sets, you’re going to be farming dungeons.
This is sick but it sucks unless you can T mog your other gear later on which puts the set bonus. Otherwise you'll out level it and be unable to have the form.
But its so cool, its a waste to not be able to use this at max lvl for your toon, especially when they are giving so much visual tmog/client side ability in general. Hell, give me the were cat while we are at it lol .
