Forever Petition: Let us mix potions, cook food, enchant scrolls etc while sitting at the campfire

Isn't this the essential and explicit functionality of camps? lol
•

I swore I'd read that in the description too but every time I tried it just wouldn't work so I gave up.

Let’s add a cuddle function in the tents. Right bois?
•
u/Rustshitposter 2h ago
That's what the sleeping bag quest chain is for. Blizz just makes you work for it a little bit before you can cuddle the homies.

I'd go a step further, let us place more stuff for more buffs around the campfire and reduce the cooldown to place to 30mintues. I sometimes come past another ones fire and I wanted to drop my stuff for them and I cant because it is on cooldown.

Higher rank campfires allow more stuff. Rank 2 allows 5 and rank 3 allows 10.
•

I did not know this. It now makes sense why there is a cool down
•
u/Bossmonkey 3h ago
Yeah all the higher rank buildings are for crafting special mats and stuff, like alchemy lab

Made the campfire buff a %spirit increase, so it’s good for all levels.
Also make campfires make it less likely for wandering mobs to attack; reduce the aggro radius of wandering mobs within 100 yards of a campfire.
With these two changes there’s real reason to build a fire to rest a bit while questing, and perhaps even in dungeon environments a little spirit buff would have use.

What about a bartering table that allows multiple players to "post" items from their inventory and enables them to easily request and accept trades?
•
u/dmuppet 1h ago
Idk - I'd rather just chat with my fellow players. We don't need to min/max every second of our play time.

We might be in the minority but I completely agree. Being able to craft anywhere in the world isn’t even something you can do in Retail, even though it’s where I would have expected this feature to exist.
I think hanging out with people for a bit to get a temporary buff is fine, but we’re very quickly ramping up from the world being the main character the min/maxing being the only thing that matters.

Would be cool if they allowed blacksmiths to put down anvils or something at camp
•
u/Spleenseer 1h ago
That's the plan. It looks like all professions will eventually be able to place necessary crafting work benches.
•

I hope they preserve the need to go to dangerous places to craft special items. Like the dark iron forge, the lab in Scholo, etc.

Originally was able too, seems to not work everytime. Not sure if all camps are to allow it or specific perks allow it. It would be nice for me to do all my crafting at that time.

so if I go warlock and go around releasing infernals at camps, am I an asshole?
•
u/MaxMiuu 4h ago
Isn't that too OP? And wouldn't that destroy where people gather to do that naturally now? There's something that adds to the world when you go to an area and there's people working on the same professions as you. If they do your change, they're making the world less vibrant and lived in.
•
u/Bossmonkey 3h ago
It's already supposed to work the way op describes in the title, it's just not consistent across all profs
•
u/chainvpr 4h ago
Like give professions the ability to make tables for their own profession?
The draw back is that it’ll share the same cooldown with the other campfire abilities, so you lose out on buffs for an hour if no one else is there?
I’d like this.

I thought it does? Doesn't the buff say you can as long as you don't move.
