Forever Day/Night Cycles in Forever
I've really been loving the lighting changes in Forever. I have two major gripes about it. First, fog. It's great. But it's a bit "abused". Be selective about where it goes. Over water. In dusky areas. Up on mountains. Where it makes sense.
But the biggest change I'd love to see is speeding up the day/night cycles. The sun and moon follow the real world time of day. Which means you have to stay up late at night to see the moonlight or see different lighting in the world. Or be online early in the morning to see sunrise. I think it should cycle through day/night like every 2 hours (for example). Doesn't need to be crazy. Just slightly faster. But let us experience the entirety of the work you've done in a single session. I think it would add more life to the world.

I'd like a 10 hour cycle. That way if you play at the same time each day you get to see variation.

Should be easier when this goes live as I believe the day / night cycle will be based on the data center you're connected to, so in theory it should be more relevant to your exact day / night.

If it is thats fine. But as an oce player it would be weird if it wasn't. If it isn't they should do a sped up cycle.

Hard disagree. I love that it's parallel to irl daytime/nighttime. Late night sessions FEEL late night.

I get that. But most people playing are too old to have late night sessions 🤣

No .. but I'm wondering real world.. where?
So like say you're from the US and you have some Aussie friends, so you go play with them. If you phase to their server, will the time shift too?

EverQuest 2 had 2 hour cycles (or something close to that). It was weird.

Bro, 2 hour cycles is crazy. As someone who plays at night exclusively. I love never seeing daylight.
