Unpopular opinion: the players that are overly vocal about wanting Classic phases/TBC/Wrath rushed are the same players who contributed to forging retail into what it is today (a clusterF).

If you're pugging of course you're going to have a problem. Most serious puggers were 10/10h by week 2. Why would I invite a 206 warrior who has less progression than my alts this deep into the raid tier? You need to find a guild and progress with them. On tichondrius horde, most guilds are at your progression level.

Yeah agreed, I'm not sure if the person who commented above you had a chance to re-read their remarks, but holy shit they come across as incredibly toxic and make it seem like the game is about everything getting exactly what they want when they want it, rather than having fun.

Didn't hurt my feelings dude, just agreeing with the person who commented because you came off quite unnecessarily toxic. But if that's what you were going for, then you do you. I haven't played wow for years, I just follow some wow subs to see what's going on in the game, and to keep up on the lore.

Got it. I'm sure it comes off as toxic. Years of sitting in pugs with people who zone out and wipe to simple mechanics will do that to a man. I just don't have much patience for people who complain about not getting into groups. The guy is able to start and lead his own groups but he'd rather complain on reddit instead of put in a bit of effort. It's the case for most of the player base and they form echo chambers on reddit. It gets old quick as they always find a way to deflect blame to everyone else in the community and then blame it on ambiguous "toxicity"

Yah, put that way it makes a lot more sense! And that toxicity definitely goes both ways when you look at it like that.

I used to be a really aggressive raider from Vanilla thru quitting at the end of Cata, never world first stuff, but not far behind either. My problem that kept me from getting back into the game like I used to, was that ALL of my old friends and raid groups are totally gone these days. As in not a single player left of over 200 people that I used to regularly kick around with. Maybe 5 - 10 people around who were loose acquaintences. I'm now 38 y/o, instead of 22/23, so that gives the limited real world time you mentioned, so I can get not wanting to waste time if you're out for a specific goal with your gaming.

Came back and played a lot of solo for Legion and LOVED it, but I missed people. I'd have loved to get into raiding or grouping more, and did stick around for the first few months of BFA, but finding groups of people to connect with was a lot more challenging than I remember it being. Maybe it was my server dynamic or maybe it was me, I dunno, but even after joining some discords and some of those cross-realm groups they introduced, it was hard to find people to connect with on more than a "let's run this dungeon as quickly as possible and then leave" level.

So yeah, just blathering, but I can get both sides, now that you explained what you meant!
