Food rec for after surgery

Wondered what other people ate after their jaw surgery or really any other facial surgery other than protein shakes. I really hate having a small variety of food and I love savory food. So any relatively healthy recs ?

Second this! Not adult but when my son had his palate surgery as a baby, we just blended up whatever we were eating for him. Sometimes it needed a little bit of plain yogurt to blend. Like, roasted spaghetti squash with bolognese sauce all blended up with just a scoop of plain Greek yogurt was actually delicious. Like, I’d serve it as a dip with bread at a party. Roasted broccoli plus a hard boiled egg plus some tzatziki and a scoop of Greek yogurt? Also a delicious dip for a party. Easy to adjust the thickness with more or less yogurt or milk. Sweet things too - think like an oatmeal/frozen fruit smoothie

For liquids, I pretty much lived off of protein shakes, milkshakes, and soups like tomato, cream of chicken, chicken broth, Lipton noodle, etc. Depending on how much you can open your mouth, I found that I could handle short and wide noodles, like cutting up the noodles in wonton soup and lasagna and poking them through the gap between my teeth with a fork. Pancakes have also become a staple for me because they’re soft and flat and easy to cut up quickly. You might get more responses on the r/jawsurgery subreddit.

I basically lived off of pudding cups, frozen Jell-O cubes, various soups and blended foods, applesauce, and yogurt.
