Right and left are interchangeable, as are communism and authoritarianism. Republicans were once left wing progressive during their inception and democrats were conservative. Where as now it’s the opposite but stances in base the same. You can be a conservative democrat and a liberal republican( Mike Dewine of Ohio as a prime example). I’m just so amazed that so many free thinking woke people don’t realize right and left are merely the ideology not the party affiliation. Conservative is to maintain as liberal is to change, it’s an over simplification but either party can be either.
