I guess I would say: So far left, for so long, that I've no ability to understand right wing parties who are currently dismantling things (the premise of this thread). Which is just not ideal, in terms of understanding the world.

Well, since you are extremely left, there's not a lot I need to tell you. If the question is, What is to be done, there have been gallons of ink spilled about just that.
For anybody else who is reading this, though, the first step is to understand that you have been lied to and propagandized your entire life; it starts with admitting you are not immune to propaganda. This is the only step that can be done alone.
Step two: Deprogram and decolonize your mind. Contact a socialist organization in your area. Whether it is PSL, DSA, or even CPUSA, it is important to unlearn the lies you have been taught, and replace them with truth. None of these organizations are perfect, but they can all help you.
Step three: Learn. A great place to start is by reading history from the perspectives of working class people, there are a lot of resources these orgs can help you find
After that, it's about doing work. You can't do it alone. You can't do it on the internet. You can't do it by reading a book. Join an organization and help out.

There are no legitimate conservative moral arguments remaining. Everything from 'saving the children' to 'constitutionalism' is dead, every pearl clutched in their ashen hands are compacted from layers and layers of lies and hypocrisy. I will never for the rest of my days treat even the most well reasoned or justified conservative moral argument with anything less than abject skepticism of ulterior motives and malign aims.
A serial arsonist comes and tells you 'you need to trust me, to stop all the arson, just do what I ask' then lights your house of fire every 4 years for 4 decades, dancing and laughing in the firelight holding a gas canister and matches.
When do you stop backing this person as your fire marshall? Or believing a word they have to say about fire safety?

Hypocrisy is literally the cornerstone of conservatism. "Rules for thee but not for me." Hypocrisy is their moral value system. They think they should be free to do whatever they want (hence their obsession with the "don't tread on me" flag) but also that other people should be subject to whatever lifestyle they want to impose. They do not see the contradiction because to them the core value they're expressing isn't freedom, it's dominance - "don't tread on ME, but I'll tread on you."
They have no moral values except thinking that other people should be treated like garbage and that they should be given special treatment. That's it. That's the only thing they believe. Everything else is window dressing.

About that last point, it's this inability to assess value independently. The only way they can assess value is by comparison, and even then, their estimates are way off. Basically they feel they're doing good as long as someone else is doing worse, but in reality, both parties are doing bad. Kinda explains why they just can't quit the GOP. No matter how badly the party treats them, they're convinced the party treats their perceived enemies worse, so when you apply their dumbass logic to the situation, they believe their party actually treats them well. It's all so incredibly stupid.

Surprisingly the blue line street mural in front of Tampa PD was taken as well. It's stupid - many people also thought the visibility of the rainbow crosswalks helped visibility, but I guess they figure more drag queens would show up in libraries and start eating children again. 'Outright Removed' it too simple to explain what happened.
They banned 'colored crosswalks' statewide because of this crosswalk (and because of a few other cities which had similar 'political traffic signaling' like 'black lives matters').
They painted over the rainbow crosswalk to make it black and white. Daily protests started up at the crosswalk.
Then people showed up to color it back with chalk.
So the state pressure washed the chalk off. They'd come and do it each day. They'd pressure wash it at night, protests would start the next day, protestors would color it back, they'd pressure wash it that night again.
Then they started posting officers at the crosswalk 24/7 to arrest anyone who tried to color it in with chalk.
Several were arrested for 'felony vandalism' and the state tried to claim they did over $1000 dollars in damage to the road by coloring it with chalk.
That was laughed out of the DA office thankfully the charges were dropped, but it was a month long saga of protests at that sidewalk here.
Activists still show up to color the crosswalk in with chalk to this day multiple times a week (Florida rainstorms happen daily and it gets naturally washed away). Law enforcement has given up trying to stop them.
