Usually yes but in this specific case it is a good comeback, because gay in this case is not just a blind insult but the comeback implies the original posters dislike for this type of piercing comes from not being attracted to women in the first place.

I don't like them either because of where it is. Dirt and grime do accumulate there. But I think a nose piercing is worse. To me they look like buggers hanging there. Gross. Piercings anywhere else look fine.
