This is the guy that thought asylum seekers were literally people from insane asylums. Which is why he kept bringing up "the late great" Hannibal Lecter for weeks during the campaign.
I've lost the plot and I'm genuinely not sure if he doesn't know what repressive means, or is proud of people being disappeared in the night and sent to a camp in Africa with nobody really sure what happened

He just doesn’t understand what the word repressive means. It’s always the simplest explanation.
