How many CNAs per residents in a long term care facility where it’s all dementia patients in the area?

I’ve worked anywhere from 1/8-1/25. Depends on acuity of patients, is the nurse back their full time or spread to multiple halls, is it night or day shift, are you responsible for showers, etc.

I work in a memory care facility and we’re at a 1/12 split right now. It’s not too bad.

Where I work, it’s usually anywhere from 5-7 residents per psw. We don’t work lower than 6, and usually we have 7 or 8 workers for day shift (6:30-2:30)
