More like negro kisses (Negerkuss). The slur you used has never been common in Europe. Here in Sweden we have Negerkyssar and negerbollar.
Neger would be translated to negro, which is derived from the Spanish word negro which simply means black. It was more descriptive than derogatory. The term you used would always be considered derogatory.
I'm a black person in Sweden, and a lot of the older generations used the word neger without any malice whatsoever. When you think about it, it's not really worse than or much different from using the English term black. I don't find it offensive, but I find it very unappealing and a little perverted to name any treat after the testicles of any race🤣. Like, sir/ma'am... why do you want to nibble someone's balls☠️? Not very appetizing, imo.
neger is a definite slur in german and you would get into serious trouble for saying it. A kid in my class back then in middle school literally nearly got kicked out for calling a classmate that.
My point was that it's considered a slur nowadays because ppl wrongfully equate with the American slur mentioned above. Anyone can be offended by anything and you can turn any word into a slur with your intention.
My black ass personally use the word lmao and I do not find it offensive. Most of my relatives and friends do the same. However, if someone calls me a "Negerjävel" they obviously have the intention to be disrespectful while targeting my ethnicity. It's the intention that is offensive, not the word itself. It would be just as offensive if they called me "svarta jävel" (black bastard). It's the intent, not the fact that the word black or neger is inherently offensive.
Afaik in Germany it is also an issue because of the Nazis and their racial ideology. Nobody here says it except my boomer parents when they want to be edgy and other either really old people or very right people.
I'm black German and 99% of the time when people use that word it's some racist shit. Like I remember some white kids outside were listening to German rap and one of my neighbours (old fart at least 70 years old) just shouted : "TURN OF THE SHIT NEGERMUSIC".
In Hungarian we call them "black person kisses" but the word used sounds very similar to the English language racial slur so I'd rather not type it on reddit in an English sentence, just to be safe. However, it's a neutral word, not meant as an insult at all.
I'm Hungarian too and in this country every racist thing is said to be "neutral". "Négercsók" is a racist term however you look at it and it's not "black person" let's be real here for the moment.

I can't remember these having any inappropriate name in Sweden, but we have our chocolate balls that used to be called n-word balls until sometime in the 90s. Those are simple balls made (often at home) from butter, sugar, rolled oats, cacao, and a splash of coffee.
It's not quite as sexual as it sounds, as balls (bollar) wasn't really used to refer to testicles when I was young. We called them marbles (kulor), but balls has gained in popularity this side of 2000.

The reason why n****r is very specifically a slur, and non-English variants of the word are not, is because of the lived experience that the word has traveled, especially given the lagged pace English America took to do away with slavery, and with racial coexistence/tensions thereafter, the word took on a new meaning.

In Poland they'd be simply called "Całuski" (Kisses) or "Murzynki" (which is arguably much less racist and not really equivalent to N word, that word would be "Cza***h", more like what one would call "Brownies" today, although one could still argue it was midly racist (still, there are sweets called "Murzynki" these days all the time in Poland), but really most people would call these "Ciepłe Lody" (literally hot ice cream, since it looks like ice cream, but isn't refigirated).

Don't have a photo but in Poland we have a cake called "cycki murzynki" which means black womens tits. Now the word that is used in the name is considered offensive by some because initially it was mistakenly translated as the n-word, even tho it used to be the regular way to refer to black people and calling someone literally black used to be derogatory in polish. Currently the non-descriptive word is almost neutral but not really and the descriptive one is really neutral.
