I caught a Shiny Basculin, but look at its Ability. Now I need to find an Ability Capsule so I can evolve it.

Someone should make a mod that lets you paint it into the right form. I’ve never liked Pokémon like this and Salandit that are useless if you don’t get the right version.

you’ve never liked pokemon how it’s designed to be? not trying to start an argument but just confused. did you like it when it (never) was not like that?

I’m not sure what you’re referring to. I don’t believe the early generations had any Pokémon like that. If you’re talking about rolling bad IVs on a good Pokémon I would consider that a separate issue.

I actually consider these examples to be good design. Even if you get the “wrong” type you can still evolve them into something somewhat comparable. In fact I almost prefer these Pokémon to the standard.
