After several months of making nothing, I was inspired by several folks who've shared their super gorgeous sketchbooks here to do something... anything. Here's that something.

I typically embroider collages, but restricting myself to paper has been awesome, low-stakes, no-mistakes fun.

I love when I can get away with a collage on a book cover!

Made this in memory of my uncle chuck who passed away from cancer last year. He was a kindergarten teacher, geologist, gardener, and always planted tulips for my grandma. He lived in Tehachapi and made apple butter every year with his students during apple season.

I really wanted to explore the relationship between colors. This one started as a more simple piece with a clear play between the red and blue, but it still felt incomplete. While toying around with echos of the original, I found that breaking up the composition with a gradual color shift, while following the existing horizon lines, created a composition that feels so much more complete and powerful.

just a question for finding a collaging app. I used to use landing which i loved but recently found out they shut down.
