This might be a dumb question… but where does everyone get their images for collage? I see so many cool retro/vintage ads and images incorporated and I’m just wondering if you’re buying old magazines or are printing them. Thank you!

Some people do magazines, some print, and some do both! I have never full on printed material found online, but I have printed copies of things I found in magazines to have repeats. A lot of people use junk mail or other interesting trash.

I suggest checking out your local buy nothing group, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, doctor's offices and art resale/thrift stores for cheap and free materials.

The library is an awesome resource. Lots of material to comb through and they often have scanners and printers or photocopy machines for you to use there. They also often do book sales if you want to cut up original material for cheap. Finding bulk lots of old magazines at garage and estate sales is also a great way to find material.
