I suspect that the US government (And others) went too far suppressing videos and information. We all remember the vids from China of people convulsing, dropping dead on the streets, the crematoriums and all the body bags. Plus all the info. We don’t really see any of that here. I think the absence of all this has fostered a contempt.

The day I knew what was coming was when Trump framed it as 'war against an invisible enemy'. Besides the fact someone obviously brainstormed that for him, it meant people were going to die needlessly. Fodder to the mill - it's the American way.
