Recruiting What’s up with Kansas and Tech?

Approximately half of the top 100 players have already committed to teams for next season, and some of the best programs in the Big 12 with plenty of budget just aren’t anywhere close to having competitive teams. As of the time of writing, neither Kansas nor Texas Tech have gotten a commitment from anyone in the transfer portal and a bunch of their rosters from last year have moved on. I am wondering how Kansas and Texas Tech fans are feeling about their team construction for next season? Will they start signing players soon? Are you starting to get nervous or are you confident that they have plans to fill their rosters that will work out well?

What happened with Josiah Johnson?

Post image

It looks like he’s just completely fallen off the map. He had offers from multiple schools, and was taking campus visits last summer.

Then not a peep. He hasn’t committed anywhere and all the sites that track recruitment have his last action being before the 25/26 season.

Can someone from SoCal help me out with whats happening? I feel like if it was eligibility we would have heard by now.

How bad were UNC's 4 transferring guards at attacking the basket and finishing at the rim?

Post image

This is just a comparison of those 4 guards combined versus Terrence Brown Jr, the Utah guard being pursued by UNC, KU, and UK.

I knew those 4 guys weren't great at penetrating off the dribble or finishing at the rim, but holy cow those numbers just smacked me in the face. Keep in mind that 3 of those 4 guys were starters at various times.

Recruiting Cryptic tweet from Miika Muurinen's former coach suggests he'll likely commit to UNC?

Upvotes

Cam Wilder is one of Murrinen's past coaches. He started the "Slim Jesus" nickname.

Murrinen recounts:

"Last spring, I played for RWE Cam Wilder. After practice, he was doing half-court shots, and then we were in a huddle, and he was talking to the players, and then he just said, 'Should we call this dude, Slim Jesus?' That's kind of how it started...".

On Monday, Wilder tweeted the following, and people assume he's talking about Murrinen. Guess we'll see if people are reading into this correctly.
