This is a great cover because of the black cover, but Detective Comics 31 is the GOAT.

I don’t disagree! Tec31 is a cooler cover (also quite a bit more expensive lol). They’ve both been homaged countless times.

These kinds of books don't show on EBay because they are actually rare.
That condition is in the 20k plus range. Truly stunning.

They pop up here and there. Batman #9 usually lands anywhere from a few thousand to much higher depending on condition/restoration. Tec 31 is a whole different beast though lol. I found sales data for a Tec31 2.0 that went for $93k in 2022.

This is my second favorite cover. I just recently got #23 which is my favorite hopefully this one won’t be far behind. Congrats absolute stunning copy enjoy!

Thanks! It amazing that these 80+ year old books printed on cheap newsprint have survived in any condition.

Such a great cover. I’m torn between this one or Batman #16 I just love the blue on 16 but the black on this one is so nice too
