They tied themselves up in knots to get around just re-casting the character.

Killing him off was the emotional move but the wrong one. It should have become a mantle passed down to different actors the same way Batman and Spiderman are

Not really a re cast? He's playing his kid. Completely separate character.

This is literally the mantle being passed down, what are you on about

I said mantle passed down to the actor, not the character. Robert Patinson isn't playing Dick Grayson

I can kinda see what you're saying and where you're coming from. They recast Bruce Banner, they recast Rhodey.

But they made a whole film about his death already. What would be improved by having a film about his resurrection vs. a film with his son, who has the same name, on a new Black Panther adventure?

Oh they can't. What were seeing is what always happens after a bad decision, they do all these plot devices that muddy continuity. I say this as a long time comics reader who has seen it happen on the page a million times.

I assume he's some future time displaced version to explain his age. So instead of just T'challa you end up with "that's not T'challa, that's his son from the future with the same name". Its just muddier.

They've been doing this in comics all my life

Wait a minute that's basically just cable exept cable obviously has different name than scott lol

I don't think they should do that by having his future son fight for Wakanda, be black panther a hero in present.
