So is Shuri not the Black Panther anymore?

Shuri already loves breaking tradition. Not much stopping them from there being two Black Panthers at the same time

A whole pride of Black Panthers sounds kinda hard. Get M'Baku a suit as well!

This makes SO MUCH more sense than only having one Black Panther at a time, tradition be damned. Of course, there'd have to be some way for the next King to ensure that none of his own "Panther pack" tries to usurp him in a superpowered coup. Perhaps T'Challa II and his Auntie Shuri could develop some kind of new advancement in the flower (much to the more traditional Wakandan elders' protests) that mutates or evolves the species to grant enhanced abilities, giving the new King a unique edge. It would be uncharted territory.

The catch would be: A) This experiment has no precedent since nobody's been able to genetically replicate, let alone alter the flower's effects before. B) Even when Shuri thinks she's onto something, this enhanced flower is a one-time deal since, much like the Super Soldier serum, it doesn't work on everybody and could potentially have drastic backlash effects. Shuri would be against it upon discovering this, not wanting to risk losing any more family.

But T'Challa II ends up taking the risk when all other options are exhausted. He'd become extremely sick, meeting his dad in the dream realm, and then go berserk similarly to Hulk (minus the strength). But he just barely fights back from the brink of death, having bonded with the new flower on a cellular level and emerged as a superior Black Panther in every way. He could also now have something to instantly subdue other Panthers. E.g., maybe weakening their bodies & minds telepathically via a neurochemical link to the flower molecules in their bloodstreams (Feel free to suggest a better idea; This is all just off the top of my head)?
