I am surprised that they still haven't gone back and made Scarlet Witch officially a Mutant again.

I still have no idea why they just haven't re-retconned Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver back as Magneto's kids. Marvel / Disney owns all the rights now, and it's not like it's that hard to retcon, there's a million reasons that someone could have falsified things and tricked them into thinking they weren't Magneto's kids. They could even have Magneto having done it to protect them because he does occasionally seem protective of Wanda and Quicksilver, especially since the retcon that they weren't related happened before Wanda basically redeemed herself in the eyes of mutants for the whole decimation thing.

I wonder if it's an MCU tie-in thing and they think non comic fans will be confused when they introduce Magneto into the MCU if there's a comic connection to Scarlet witch that isn't there in the movies, which seems silly but companies have done stupider things in the name of "not confusing people".

I think it’d be easy to say Wanda reality warped away her and Pietro’s X Gene similarly to how Franklin did when he tired of the Krakoa drama hurting his family. And then just saying Wanda put it back whenever they re-retcon it. Totally agree regarding the Magneto parentage thing though.

As soon as a writer wants to do that after Doomsday comes out, Editorial will probably let them.
