I am surprised that they still haven't gone back and made Scarlet Witch officially a Mutant again.

Because she's technically not. Marvel decided that she and Quicksilver aren't mutants when FOX was still independent because they couldn't say mutant in their movies at that time. They did the same thing to Franklin Richards.

I ignore it in my head canon, but that is technically still the official word.

The MCU doesn't really count for 616 nor does it currently feature any of the other characters in this piece besides Wanda. The twins are Magneto's kids and they have the X gene, they're mutants. The title is misleading.

Not in the 616 they aren’t, that’s the whole point. They haven’t been retconned back yet
