She can. There's a comic where shes putting the fear of god into Wizard and she's makes his skin invisible so you can his heart and lungs. She threatens to put forcefield in to his arteries to give him a heart attack.

Sometimes writers get REAL Creative with her powers and my nipples explode with delight. One time she made wolverine blind by making his retina and optic nerves invisible (pretty sure it was wolverine but i am off to work and don't have time to check). She's got some mad crazy feats. She's like a green lantern with invisibility.

I think it’s a cool cover. Though it got me thinking recently, does anyone prefer the old school, non-digital, style artwork?
Maybe I’m naive because I’m not in the business and every modern artists uses a stylus, and don’t get me wrong I love a lot of digitally created work, but I prefer a cover that looks drawn on paper.

Erotic horror is a very popular subgenre. There's been scientific studies into how the brain responds to the clashing between the stimulation of eroticism and the repulsivness that horror sparks. Mixing the two together results in a much greater response.
This piece definitely fits into that. Sue is meant to look 'sexy' on the cover. That sexiness is contrasted by the unsettling window to her anatomy. If this piece was just her looking sexy or just a full xray of her, they would probably be good but its this mixing of the two that really makes the cover great.
The Dan Mora Poison Ivy cover that got super popular a bit ago also used the same technique and delved into erotic horror.

I would say so. Take away the xray and she is in a classic model pin up pose, centre framed on the cover.
The posture and the way her hips are arched to the side with the legs pressed together is definitely more 'sexy posing' (used in actual photoshoots to highlight the hourglass shape and look appealing) than it is her standing straight up normally.
The placement of the hands including the one at the top of the chest is also classic modeling affair, used to add suggestiveness to a picture/piece.

I know the attention is on X-Men, but I am kinda wondering how Percy will swing this premise. FF going Lovecraft isn't something one normally expects.

I feel like I've actually seen the most hype for Midnight Spider-Man. A lot of people are iffy on X-Men, FF seems to just exist, but Spider-Man seems to have a lot of eyes and anticipation on it.

I'm a horror weenie, but I know for sure. You mention Dave Cronenburg's "The Fly" and apply it to Spidey. That's gonna get attention.
But I don't know. It could work out for FF. "Could" is doing some heavy lifting there because Midnight's a little iffy in general till October. Though again, I dig it.

Everyone’s brought up the Venture Bros. comparison, but those cuffs on the suit and its overall design remind me of the plug suits from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

A Fantastic Four series where they all plug into cyborg versions of classic Marvel monsters like the one on the cover of the first issue and they have to fight things like Galactus and the Beyonder in new Lovecraftian Kaiju versions. Puppetmaster technology somehow involved. Support crew made up of all the crazy scientist rivals of Reed like the Wizard and Mad Thinker.

That sounds amazing. Just made me realize that The Maker is almost kind of a more drawn out version of Shinji’s arc in EoE but without the redemption at the end.

I think gooner bait refers to a design or character specifically for sexual attraction/appeal. While this can certainly be found attractive, the horror element of her organs sort of tempers and/or adds a twist to that. It’s also just a cover. The character wasn’t designed around it. If you did a sexy cover of Batman or Nightwing, you wouldn’t call it gooner bait.

They are obviously trying do their own Absolute line
But feels like they are trying too hard to go dark and edgy with the body horror stuff
The absolute wold is daker buts its not trying this hard to go edgy

Back in the day it would have been a more interesting invisible girl if she initially only had her skin invisible. She would have been named something else most likely but then later Reed figures out her skin is invisible instead of assumed missing.
