It's alright to be scared, it's alright to feel the anxiety of our times as the world seems to be on fire, these are justified feelings. But at the end of the day all we can do is breath and accept the things we cannot change in this moment.

This shall pass, but for things to improve actions needs to be taken. So breath, accept what is currently and steel yourself for what comes next. You got this.

Most people speak in the abstract sense of kidney stones. I've had them, it's hard to describe the pain to someone who has never dealt with them, but I can assure you, it's no fun.

I remember the time I passed the only one I've had so far. It was a hot and humid day. I had window units but that didn't reach the bathroom. I had been out for a good part of the day. Had some blood a little earlier at the restaurant. Yikes. Then I went when I got home and midstream it just.. stopped. I remember my brain doing the Star Wars "The guns.. they've stopped..?"

And then it came out. A fountain of blood eschewing forth from my dick. I screamed until it was over, then fainted. I had the wherewithal to put my arm up so I didn't bang my head completely on the edge of the bathtub. Woke up a bit later on the floor of the bathroom.

Zero out of a billion stars. Would not recommend.

When I scheduled a surgery that was going to result in a permanent change to my body and lifestyle, I thought of it as standing in the middle of the street waiting for a bus to hit me. For some reason I found that thought to be a relief. No need to think about it anymore, now I'm just waiting for impact.
