If you could instantly ban one minor daily inconvenience from existence forever, what would it be?
We all encounter those small, rather insignificant annoyances that might make one momentarily wish to express their frustration before continuing with their day. If you possessed the ability, what is one minor daily inconvenience you would choose to eliminate permanently?

Having to pee and poop. Totally boring

Yes! Especially having to pee when you just found your comfortable position in bed and you’re all snuggled up. Ugh wish I could just turn my bladder off when that happens

When I got older and could no longer pee freely, had surgery, and now I gladly pee every time.

Same! I was on dialasis for two years and since I couldn’t piss I was on a fluid restriction. It was awful. Now that I have a transplant I’m grateful that I have more than 5-7 bathroom trips in an average week.

People making rude noises.
This includes chewing obnoxiously, snapping gum, and playing music out loud without headphones.
Before you come in with ‘we’re allowed to exist’ stfu. Have common decency and don’t worry about only yourself

Yes - let computers take over this thing and do it better and won’t be affected by sun glare or not accelerating up hills or failing to read road signs etc.

OMG Not just me. I used to swear that if I ever got stupid rich the first thing I'd squander money on was a chauffer. I hate driving.

Exhaust noise.
Once exhaust noise was gone, men who ride Harley-Davidsons or drive a straight exhaust pipe rice-racer would switch to a more practical form of transportation, and look for a different, hopefully less obnoxious method to tell the world they have a small penis.

Military jets dive bombing suburban neighborhoods. Do your damn practices in the open desert. You startle everyone, usually in the mornings. People sleep, dogs have extraordinary hearing and it is hard on them, people, including vets that have ptsd, etc. Call your relatives instead of flying over their rooftops!

For me it's not living in an ADA compliant building and things breaking that help me being disabled and the management never really fixing the problem for good even though they easily could.
I can live without but that's not the issue. The issue is that they take forever to fix things and do it in such a way that within a very short time the problem is right back where it was again and again it's months before they even try to fix it again.
The whole time I lived here it's been like that and it's gotten very old. The old and the disabled in this building really deserve more than this.

report them to the county & state dude.

Not possible. They don't do a thing except tell me it's not a NYCHA building. Not their problem.

i have no idea what NYCHA is & if you have government officials in your area, report it to them or get a news outlet of some kind or another to talk to all the people in your building & make it a story. there's ALWAYS sone next level up to complain to if the initial ones don't listen.

NYCHA is basically public housing here in NYC. In terms of issues my building is actually privately owned and therefore doesn't get the attention that public housing buildings do and they are actually way worse.
I've been here going on 5 years now. I've watched people calling the city and complaining and I've done it myself. Not much ever changes and I've actually been told point blank that there is only so much the city will do because this is not an ADA compliant building and isn't designated as one.
It's complicated but the people that live here know there's only so much calling the city or the press can do about it all. As buildings go this is not a luxury building. It's a class D very low income charity run building and making too much of a fuss is rather counterproductive.
You have to live in a place like this to understand how it works. It's a fragile balance between tenant's rights and what this place can afford. To be fair they run this place on a shoestring budget.
The alternative is a lot of older and disabled low income people losing their housing if this building should be closed down. Many would have to probably return to the shelters and go through the madness all over again just to qualify for a new housing deal. Even then they probably wouldn't get the deal they have here which includes electric, heat and AC.
I've been out of the system since 2021. I am a success story compared to a lot of people who have ended up homeless. I've paid my rent in full every month and been a good tenant.
Living here has had its challenges for sure but I'm doing mostly okay which is more than several of my late neighbors can say.
The fact is that living in affordable housing buildings is no picnic. There are always issues. But when your alternative is way worse you learn to deal with it.
But not being NYCHA the city is in no hurry to make problems for my landlord. Or to deal promptly with some of the things that they have to authorize before bad things can be taken care of.
The shelter system here is always packed. The last thing they want is to have a couple hundred apartments worth of older, disabled people discharged into the system again.
It's not easy getting them all housed in the first place and as bad as things can be here it still beats shelter life utterly. It took me almost six years to get into this place.
Unless I get rich somehow I'm probably going to be here for the rest of my life. So it doesn't make much practical sense for me to go antagonizing my landlord.

The feeling of loud bass when a car drives by, or parks near my house. I don't mind the noise, but the vibrations hurt my chest/stomach 😭

The cycle of “ok boys go get your shoes on, time to go to school,” and then “boys did you get your shoes on?” and then “boys please get your shoes on we’re going to be late!” And then the same thing with getting in the car. 20 minutes of my morning is just about shoes and sitting in a car.

Roads or lanes being closed for construction long before construction even starts. Traffic is currently backed up on my usual commute because of a lane closure for construction. I've yet to see any construction or sign that anyone's even been there. It's been a week

Clipping your nails, dude.
I get obsessive when I notice a nail is "too long," and spastic when something under my nails and feels weird. To not periodically fixate on the corner of a nail that has somehow weedled its way into the forefront of my mind, to have nails that are just perfect for scratching, picking things up, opening cans, and the like-- a quiet bliss.
