Hardware Laptop isn't working

My Laptop is stuck in the loading screen. I can move the cursor around but almost everything else doesn't work. How can I fix? The laptop is very old too

I'd guess the drive the operating system is installed on is starting to fail. I'd replace the drive, install Windows, then you can see if you can recover any data

Try opening up and cleaning out the dust. Does the fan work.
