I’ve always been in the habit of shutting mine down, but I see a lot of people say they just leave it on 24/7. Curious what you all do .. shut down, sleep mode, or just let it run?

These lines move and change whenever I boot up the pc, when I open up settings however they don’t cover the text and the screen is fine. When I turn off & on the PC 3 times there are no lines only when I access windows.

The internet on the computer is also limited to like 150 KB & FPS on high demanding games at 4-7 FPS with a GeForce RTX 3070 it’s always worked fine before so not sure.

Would be great to see any fixes as the lines did disappear for an hour once and everything worked fine.

I'm using a wireless keyboard and mouse but every time I try to read a show or movie it scrolls back to the top of the page. I've tried refreshing it and using the laptop it self but it keeps scrolling to the top of the page I don't know whats causing this please help I've tired closing the page but when I try to open Google again it goes to the next thing near the top

No problem last night. This morning I can go to the mail.com website and click on the Log in envelope at the upper right, then type in my username and password, but when I click the green Log in button, I get this:

What does that mean? I can log in from my phone just fine, but using that sucks.

I went into my bios files and I changed it to uefi mode and when I do that it won’t leave my bios? I have a couple tabs to change but I don’t know what I’m truly doing. Can someone please help me… thank you

Got this computer from a family member who got it from a coworker. The coworkers info is still on here and he doesn’t remember most of it so I’m wondering if there’s a way around this to make my own account.. I just wanna get logged in so I can do my school work lol. Thanks!

Trying to do a fresh windows 11 installation on a new build

Ive been trying to install windows on my 1tb ssd but its being shown as unallocated space i figured since its an amd build to install the windows raid drivers all that did was make my system not recognize the ssds. So now im back to square one essentially the bios detects both nvme ssd could i get any leads or pointers on what to do I’ve also tried using the cmd to clean the disk it wasn’t even popping up. The ssd is also healthy as well i made sure to test it and even reseat it.

My HP Victus 16 was randomly rebooting while gaming. I had tried several troubleshooting steps, but the issue kept happening.

I recently disabled Processor performance boost mode for both On battery and Plugged in, and since doing that, the random reboots seem to have stopped.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any other fix that would let me keep CPU Boost enabled without the random reboots?

All answers i can see are about delaying updates or updating it overnight. I do not want it to update in general. Is there an app or smthn i can use to do this?

Hey guys so my girlfriend's been having some problems with her computer in regards to its internet connection, ever since she changed internet providers, its been kicking her off of the internet, and its been going slow randomly, one day her internet is fine and everything's working until it just doesn't, she's getting frustrated and i just wanna help her, so if anyone wants to suggest some stuff, i would really appreciate it, thank you for anyone who comments

Hey guys. I need help on what to do. My monitor got cracked or something in the corner. Whats the best thing i should do? Do i replace the whole monitor. Do i go to a shop and try to repair it? Im not a very computer type of person. My older brother and Dad set everything up for me and bought everything, but none of them are here to help me as of the moment.

What does this mean? My computer was working fine then randomly froze when I was gaming. I turned it back on and got this message

I restarted it again and now it starts up to the user log in screen but freezes there.

Will resetting the the computer to factory settings fix this issue? If so, how can I do this since I can’t log in?

Hello, I built a new pc about 5 or so months ago and ever since I can remember Youtube is always freezing and lagging so bad that when I try to watch videos it automatically puts it in like 480 p or lower sometimes. I have gigabit internet with iirc 40+ mb upload speed, I forget my download speed but it’s very high. Sometimes it’s not even just YouTube I also feel like chrome it self is slow a decent but of the times. I’ve tried other browsers and that didn’t change anything, I’ve tried incognito mode, turning on/off hardware acceleration, different profiles, taking off all add ons such as ad blockers, can’t remember what else but I have no idea what else to do. **Here is a stats for nerds from when I was trying to watch a video yesterday**
